Toomey Maintains Lead In New Poll
In Pennsylvania, a new CNN poll shows Pat Toomey holding a strong lead over liberal Congressman Joe Sestak, and the Allentown Morning Call’s John Micek also notes this morning that today’s Morning Call/Muhlenberg College daily tracking poll shows Toomey leading Sestak, 48 percent to 40 percent. As a reminder, these surveys come on the heels of a new Franklin and Marshall survey that showed Toomey with the momentum in this race. From CNN:
A new poll indicates that Republican Pat Toomey has a 7 point advantage over Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak in the battle for Pennsylvania's open Senate seat. According to a Franklin and Marshall Center for Opinion Research survey released Wednesday morning, 43 percent of likely voters in the Keystone State support Toomey, with 36 percent backing Sestak and a large 19 percent undecided.
Meanwhile, the NRSC launched a new independent expenditure TV ad, “Status Quo Joe,” highlighting Sestak’s extreme partisan record of reckless spending, out-of-control debt, and massive tax hikes in Washington. CLICK HERE to view the NRSC’s new ad in Pennsylvania.
