Pennsylvania Democrats Under Fire for Targeting Voters with Deceptive Letter

In Pennsylvania, the Democrats are under fire for targeting voters with a misleading and deceptive letter.  The Allentown Morning Call reports:

Workers at Bucks County's voter registration office fielded 70 calls on Tuesday and dozens more this past week from residents worried they wouldn't be able to vote on Election Day. The reason: a series of Democratic Party absentee ballot letters -- under the letterhead of the fictitious Pennsylvania Voter Assistance Office -- warning recipients that their ability to vote in November could be threatened… Barry Kauffman, executive director of good government watchdog group Common Cause Pennsylvania, said the mailings are clearly "misleading." The lead-in information, with its reference to federal law, could be intimidating to many voters, he said.

Meanwhile, popular former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will stump for Pat Toomey today.  Politics Daily reports:

The former mayor of New York will travel to the Keystone State Friday to appear at a Toomey rally at a Philadelphia-area firehouse. The Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, Jim Cawley, will also attend the event. "Pat has long been an admirer of Mayor Giuliani's successful turnaround of New York City and his efforts to cut taxes and hold spending down," the Toomey camp said in a statement.
